146 officers had been decorated and promoted to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police, (ASP), by CP Aboki Danjuma, the Imo State Commissioner of Police, preparing them for more tasks ahead.
The Commissioner of Police while speaking during the decoration ceremony he said, promotion comes along side with more responsibilities and it is an integral component of improving personnel productivity as he congratulated all the newly promoted officers.
He also enjoined them to brace up for the task ahead and exhibit a higher level of wisdom and professionalism in the discharge of their lawful duties likewise be discipline, transparent and accountable.
He made it known that the bedrock of the force is to always act in line with the existing laws and professional ethics of the Nigeria Police Force.
ASP Victoria Nwoke while speaking on behalf of the officers who were decorated, thanked the Commissioner of Police and his management team together with Inspector-General of Police, IGP Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun and the Police Service Commission, for finding them worthy of the promotion and for their continued support, guidance, and words of admonition, as well as their unwavering commitment to personnel welfare, she also promised to responsibly discharge their duties according to the mandates expected of their new ranks.
